Actions Speak Louder can tell you how you can be a part of a national campaign for political change.
Tap in the first part of your postcode in the search box to find out what groups are campaigning near you. Maybe you are interested in ending poverty, campaigning for economic justice, securing human rights, protecting the environment or would like the opportunity to express your views on specific issues like identity cards or Tibet. Now you can!
All over the UK groups of campaigners get together, usually once a month, often after office hours, to make sure their messages are heard. They may agree to write letters to their MP, design innovative campaigns in their local town centre or spread the word about what's important to them.
These groups would love to hear from you! When you have found a group in your local area that you are interested in joining, use the local group enquiry to get in touch. You may need to become a member of the national organisation before getting involved in a local group although many would be delighted to welcome you to one meeting so that you can get a feel for the group. If you do decide to become a local campaigner, some local groups may ask for a small annual fee (usually no more than twelve pounds for the employed), which helps the local group to operate.
Actions Speaks Louder is a new resource and so is not yet a fully comprehensive list of local groups in the UK. Please use the feedback form if you think that there is a group that should be included, if you have found contact details that are out of date or have any comments.
Be a part of political change and make sure your voice is heard!
